Corn Germ

Corn contains 4 to 5% oil which 90% of this oil is in corn germ. Corn germ forms 12% of corn grain. Corn germ is used to extract oil from (49% of dry germ). This material is rich with mineral and protein and also contains Lysine Amino Acid. Corn germ press cake is a good material for providing Corn Germ powder. Corn germ powder as food nutritional supplement has different applications because it contains high amount of protein and minerals (Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Sodium, Calcium, Iron, Zinc and Copper) and it can also be a suitable replacement for Soy in different food products.
